there are signs everywhere

there are signs
There are signs everywhere. Haven’t we heard that one before…”fools rush in” “dill to pagal hay” he [god] will tell you himself when someone has come for you. I seem to be going through something like this myself but then just stopped to question myself...are there really signs around or we just keep a look out for them even more because we want to see something. It just so happens that when you realize that there is something which you have started to connect yourself with, you just invariably associate everything with it right. It could be a person it could be a thing…just because it is on our mind 24/7,even from under a pan ki dukan that one name will pop out at you and you will think...oh my god it’s a signnnn!!! If you have seen FRI and Serendipity, notice how just because Sarah and Isabelle were on their minds in some way or another they seem to just automatically look out for it. I believe in SIGNS and I follow them and yes I will notice them on a bus, a random song, on someone’s blog…trillion places. And yes even under the pan ki dukan. Perhaps we always know what we want but just need god’s approval and start taking them as signs.

I don’t know, either way signs are magical!

as human beings, we are blind to the more impt things. signs are Gods way of showing He is there, watching out for us. no 2 ways about my idalistic beliefs here ;)

Yeah, I would have to agree on the signs thing. We do look for them, deliberately find them because we WANT to find them. I don't think i look for signs anymore though. Just a feeling now maybe?

You put a face to Come Clarity? heh, i see...
i'm not sure i want to comment in too much detail on the poem. It was deliberately left as vague as possible.

Your 'type' would be the one who has the same values if you are smart. And just someone you like doing the same stuf with, if you are not smart. In the second case, i wouldn't bet on a happily ever after.

I think we only see signs when we want to - sometimes there are things staring us smack in the face but we consciously/unconsciously choose to ignore them.

More on tree_elf_:

This story was told at different places to different people, and it has grown with the telling. And it will bloody will grow with the telling this time, 'cause the light just went, and am having to type this damn thing again.

Lil ol' me read The Lord of the Rings one fine summer when I was 13 or so and elves featured somewhat majorly in it; what with Haldir,Elrond and Leglolas, I completely fell in love with the fantasy world (they have the hottest most luscious bow-and-arrow carrying babes i tell you!)

Tolkein divided his elf world into several geographically communities: there were the elves of the grey havens (think Americas, blessed land that it is; there were the elves of Lorien (think Holy Jerusalem) and there were wood-elves of Mirkwood (think country people, poor common jews being slaughtered by the raving ranting palestinains). Since I liked elves, and believed (and still try to believe) that they did not draw in their creation from the jews (whom i hate with a passion that is mine and mine alone), I wanted an elf nick. What with legolas gallivanting around the galaxy with that bow of his (note: this is NOT the part with the luscious babes with arrows. This is the part with all the male camaraderie and whatnot)

And the electriciy went again, but this time I had it saved in word! Hah! Damn Lahori kite-flying maniacs. Now where was I? Ah yes...
So I needed a nick that involved elves; but I did not want to use one of Tolkein's names. Now as you may or not know, I am somewhat nuts when it comes to Star Trek. Since my PC is called Enterprise, and my user name is Ent, and my msn nick is E, I figured something to do with Ents (also from LotR: Ents are the oldest creatures on earth. They are living trees that talk slowly (in case you STILL haven't seen the movie) and are generally very nice, unless you start cutting down trees or carrying axes and whatnot)

Now since I was an Ent by way of Star Trek (abbrev.) and I wanted something to do with elves, and since Ents are trees, I finally came up with: Tree Elf.

But the foul electronic world did not allow me this nick, forcing me to insert two personalized underscores into the nick. And thus I became: tree_elf_

A hero was born. [impressive special effects and fireworks]
phew I ain't telling anyone else this again. Too many keystrokes (x3!)

believe it or not.. i never knew who jude law was- sure i saw his face a lot in movies.. but i never knew the name.. last week i saw a movie of his and waited till the end credits to know his name...the next day, the "sunday" magazine has a whole artcile on him- the day following that he released a new movie- the next day, he announced his wedding and the day after maraim, your nik was " i love jude law"...
do you see the pattern? at first i didnt know his name and then for the next two weeks i saw it everywhere.
is that a sign? a coincidence? a message?
i dont think so. its quite simple- when you become aware of your strong feelings for something or someone.. you seem to find a bit of it/him in everything you see around yourself...that "bit-in-everything" is now called a "sign"-
sorry for giving such a practical explanation for such a romantic notion :)

no there is nothing wrong with looking out for signs...it maybe a sign of God..but we dont have to hold on it it like one....our judgement should reflect somewhat.

Kay...your pratically was very much a result of some hidden romantic notion:)
